¼ cup fresh Florida blackberries, plus a few extra for garnish
1 ounce Florida orange liqueur (such as Tippler’s orange liqueur)
½ ounce Florida Sugar Simple Syrup
2 ounces tequila
1 ½ ounces fresh lime juice, plus sliced lime for garnish
Sea salt if desired
Add ¼ cup of blackberries and the simple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Use a muddling stick to crush the blackberries in the bottom of the shaker. Add the tequila, orange liqueur and lime juice to the shaker and fill halfway with ice. Place the lid on securely and shake vigorously for 30 to 45 seconds. If desired, rim the glass with a little bit of lime juice and sea salt. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice. Garnish the margarita with fresh whole blackberries and a slice of lime.
