½ head Florida cabbage, sliced thin or shaved
1 ½ cups Florida orange bell peppers, diced small
¼ cup fresh flat leaf parsley, hand torn
¼ cup mayonnaise
Florida hot sauce, to taste
1 lemon, juiced
1 can hearts of palm, drained and sliced
1 tablespoon all-purpose Florida seasoning blend (such as Everglades)
In a medium-sized bowl, combine cabbage, bell peppers, mayonnaise, lemon juice, all-purpose seasoning, hot sauce and parsley. Stir ingredients to mix. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Add the hearts of palm and fold ingredients together. Cover slaw and refrigerate until ready to serve. Stir before serving.
